ABOUT SHAWNDELL

Born with big hair and little feet.  Still has them.
•••
Has played with a band since the age of 15 and once sang backup every night for a whole summer for an Elvis impersonator.  He sweated.  A lot.
And he wasn't the young Elvis.
•••
Has been told she sounds like
Norah Jones and Stevie Nicks
•••
Studied music at the University of Wisconsin
•••
Shared the stage with Aaron Tippin and George Jones
•••
Favorite band is Supertramp.  Favorite food is peanut butter.  Her favorite thing ever is the grand piano in her living room
- a gift from her father the year he died.
•••
Favorite gig so far ~ sitting on a hay wagon
in the middle of a hay field with crisp autumn blue skies overhead, rolling hills as a backdrop and cows nearby mooing and crooning
•••
Dream job is singing backup for Sting or
duet with Robert Plant.  Deeply jealous of Allison Krauss
•••
Has two original albums, Remnants of Crazy and Little Things.  The second album does not refer to her feet, but rather sweet simple concepts using her voice, a piano, and various sounds from a keyboard.
•••
Mostly gigs with her most current band, Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets.  Bandmates include favorite gal pals Beth Kille & Jen Farley.  Released an EP in 2014 and received Madison Area Music Award for
Best Vocal Ensemble of 2015.
•••
New album, working title Broken Dam, to be released in 2016.
•••
When not writing and performing music, helps cultivate music in young people through keyboard and vocal instruction for the Madison chapter of Girls Rock Camp, as well as private piano lessons from her studio.
•••
Keyboardist for Madison's Chick Singer Night house band
•••
Currently building a trailer (with lots of help) that easily converts to a stage.  It will house a blue piano and look a little rednecky.
It's called Project Blue Piano.
•••
Resides in rural Reedsburg, Wisconsin in a log cabin
cross the road from a corn field.
